Motocross coming to Forest with motorcycles and ATVs

FOREST Motocross is coming to the area on Saturday, when the Scott County/Forest Coliseum host pro and amateur indoor motorcycle and ATV Racing.
The event is going to feature several local and national riders. "We are expanding our tour to the Forest area to try out the Mississippi market," said promoter Mike Tiley. He has been promoting motocross events such as this for more than three years. The tour has stops that include Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico.
The event has a guaranteed pro payout of $3,000 and plaques for first through fifth places.
The races will include pro classes for 125 cc, 250cc and an open quad class. Amateurs may participate in the 50cc open, 65cc open, 85cc beginner, 85cc open, 105 cc super mini, 125 cc beginner, 125 cc, 125 cc Int, 250cc beginner, 250cc, 250cc Int, Vet over 30 Quad amateur, Quad utility, and Mini Quad ( under 100cc) classes.
Pit passes are $15 for spectators and $5 for riders. Entry fees are $30 for amateurs and $40 for pros.
Amateurs who plan to race in the event will need to be at the coliseum by noon Saturday. All registered racers will practice, then run a heat race which will qualify them for the main event that evening.
Pro riders will not need to be at the coliseum until 5 p.m. Pros will practice at 6 and race their heat race at 7:30.
The spectator gates will open at 6:30 p.m. With racing action starting at 7:30. Tickets which are $12 for adults ,$10 for children over 6, will be available at the gate. All children under 6 get in free. For more information call 1-918-402-3692.
