This was his seventh year at EMCC and his 18th year in coaching.
Hull began his career at d'Iberville before going to Columbus to coach at New Hope High School. After umpiring professional baseball in Florida for a year, Hull returned to Mississippi as an assistant coach at Delta State University.
He coached boys' basketball at West Lauderdale High School, where he led the Knights to four consecutive 20-win seasons and two straight state runner-up finishes before becoming men's head coach at EMCC.
Hull's family lives on the Scooba campus. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children, Trex and Baleigh.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete this morning.
