Oak Hill ruins Lamar's homecoming

It only took 16 seconds to see how Lamar School's homecoming was going to turn out.
Oak Hill Academy's Tyler Bratton took the opening kickoff, found a seam in the middle of the field, and raced 93 yards for the touchdown.
Things got no better for Lamar, as visiting OHA rolled to a 25-0 halftime lead on the way to a 31-12 win at Grey Cobb Field on Friday night.
With OHA leading 6-0 after the opening kickoff return, Lamar fumbled the ball away at its own 37-yard line on its second possession. Bratton, who also played quarterback, kept the ball around the left end and outran the defenders for the touchdown. The try for two failed, but 2-3 Oak Hill led 12-0.
The OHA Raiders stretched that lead by moving the ball 82 yards on just three plays as Taylor Robertson scored on a 27-yard run. The big play in the drive was a 55-yard run by Bratton. The kick by Matthew Gaskin made it 19-0 with 8:46 left in the half.
After a Lamar fumble at its own 27 late in the half, OHA moved the ball 27 yards on eight plays with Bratton scoring on a 1-yard quarterback sneak. The kick failed and the winners were up 25-0 with 1:12 left in the half.
Oak Hill totally dominated the first half with Lamar not being able to move the ball offensively to the OHA side of the 50-yard line
Lamar's first touchdown of the game came on a 59-yard run by Dylan Anderson with 7:47 left in the game. An outstanding block by Daniel Harrison and another good block by Zach Moore sprung Anderson loose. The try for two failed, leaving OHA with a 25-6 lead.
Oak Hill came back three plays later to score on a 45-yard run by Bratton with 6:16 left in the game. The extra point kick was blocked by Lane Rush.
The last Lamar score came on a 3-yard run by Rush on fourth-and-goal with 1:08 left in the game.
Bratton led Oak Hill with 144 yards on 11 carries, while Robertson carried the ball 22 times for 134 yards. Oak Hill rushed for 335 yards in the game.
Anderson had 113 yards on 13 carries to lead Lamar, which fell to 2-3 on the year with the loss.
Next up for Lamar is a road trip to Louisville next week to take on Winston Academy.
