Patriotic campaign continues at Bonita Lakes Mall

Sept. 22, 2001
MERIDIAN Almost as suddenly as tragedy struck New York City and Washington last week, Bonita Lakes Mall owner and developer CBL &Associates Properties Inc. of Chattanooga launched a fund-raising campaign to help American Red Cross relief efforts.
Collection sites for the "Patriotic Pennies for the Red Cross" campaign were established at Bonita Lakes Mall and CBL's 51 other shopping malls, primarily across the Southeast and Midwest.
Donations are being accepted at the mall customer service centers through Sunday. Money collected will help fund medical supplies, aid visiting firefighters, aid visiting policemen and relocate displaced families.
CBL President Stephen Lebovitz said that his company doesn't "have any figures on what's been collected so far, but our management teams at each of our malls indicate the turnout, response and support of the American public is overwhelmingly positive."
Developed, owned and managed by CBL &Associates Properties Inc.,
Bonita Lakes Mall is located off Interstate 20/59 at exit 154A. The mall also has a Web site at www.bonitalakesmall.com.
CBL &Associates Properties Inc. is one of the nation's largest shopping center developers, with 159 properties in 26 states. The company's portfolio includes 52 enclosed malls and more than 56 million square feet of retail space.
For additional information about CBL &Associates, visit its web site at www.cblproperties.com, where you'll find Web site listings for each of its malls and associated properties.
