Hope Village for Children

An effort spearheaded by Lauderdale County native Sela Ward to establish a home for abused and neglected children has a new name "Hope Village for Children."
Organizers had to change the name when they learned their first choice, "Hope for Children," was already in use.
Executive Director Carrie Ponder said children are expected to begin moving into the home by November. To volunteer to help at Hope Village for Children, call Raquel Davis, coordinator for recreational services, at 553-8660.
