NEWTON Services for Angie Thorne Coker will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Winnie McMahon officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Coker, 78, of Hickory, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include a son, James "Jim" Coker and a daughter-in-law, Linda Coker, both of Hickory; a stepdaughter, Faye Emerson of Courtland, Calif.; three stepsons, Thomas Coker of Sacramento, Calif., Bill Coker of Elkgrove, Calif., and Henry Coker of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin J. and Annie Shelton Thorne.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Laura Sturm Ellis will be held Sunday at 2 pm. at Coy United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Luke officiating. Burial will be in Coy Methodist Cemetery in Preston with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ellis, 27, of Preston, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at Neshoba County General Hospital. She was a native of Lauderdale County where she lived most of her life. She had been a resident of Preston for the past six years. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Neshoba County.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Ellis of Preston; a stepdaughter, Mandy Ellis of Union; her mother, Phyllis Counts and her husband, Bruce, of Preston; her father, Tevon Sturm and his wife, Brenda, of Collinsville; two sister, Summer Sturm and Carol Sturm, both of Collinsville; a brother, John Pitts of Preston; paternal grandparents, Walter "Whitie" Sturm and Evelyn Sturm of Collinsville; maternal grandparents, Wilber Goodin of Preston and Faye Creech of Pensacola, Fla.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Ellis and her husband were expecting a baby boy, Michael Douglas Ellis.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

HATTIESBURG Services for Anne Bergeron Dufour will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Louis #3 Cemetery in New Orleans.
Mrs. Dufour, 72, of Hattiesburg, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis J. Dufour III and Douglas P. Dufour, both of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Dianne McKellar of Charleston; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis J. Dufour Jr.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Val C. Rosales Sr. will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jeff Hancock and Jim Williams officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Rosales, 83, of Meridian, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, in Meridian. He was a member of First Church of God and the Gideons.
Survivors include a son, Val Rosales Jr. and his wife, Beth, of Warner Robbins, Ga.; a daughter, Ramona Matthews and her husband, Danny, of Meridian; brothers, Ralph Rosales, Henry Rosales, Antonio Rosales and Julian Rosales; a sister, Emily Tapia; a sister-in-law, Edith Dearman of Meridian; grandchildren, Scott Rosales, Mandy Rosales, Joshua Matthews, Karen Williams and her husband, Joey; and several nieces and nephews in Mississippi and California.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Rosales; and a son, Frank Harmon Rosales.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
