Clarkdale wins again, now 2-0 on season

The Clarkdale High School Bulldogs upped their record to 2-0 Friday night with a 42-21 road victory over West Lincoln.
Thomas Walters scored four touchdowns and rushed for 98 yards to pace the Bulldogs to victory. Walters' first three touchdowns came in the first half on jaunts of 15, 14 and two yards, while he closed out the high scoring affair in the fourth quarter on a two-yard run into the end zone.
Larry Lewis scored once on a six yard run and Michael Matthews picked up six points on a 32-yard run.
Clarkdale led 28-14 at the half.
Hathorne was especially pleased with the play of his offensive linemen. They include center Jeremy Strength, guards Michael Davis and Jarrod Culpepper, and tackles Henry Stringfellow and Thomas Joiner.
Marcus Hood had 80 yards rushing for the Bulldogs.
Clarkdale will be back in action Friday night when the Bulldogs host the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers.
