Meridian's Christmas Parade will hit the streets on Nov. 29 with the theme of "Rock 'n' Roll Christmas," parade chairperson Liz Coats said Wednesday.
Coats, who has chaired the parade committee for the last seven parades, said she is excited about this year's event and theme.
Coats said that applications to enter floats in this year's event will be mailed Monday to groups and organizations that paraded last year. Others who want to enter floats can find applications at LaBiche Jewelers, ZKR 103.3 Radio, Trustmark Bank, Loeb's, Liberty Shop, Wrangler Furniture, Harry Mayer and Union Planters Bank.
Applicants must pay a $20 entry fee and beat a Nov. 16 deadline. Prizes will be awarded for the top three parade floats in both commercial and non-commercial divisions.
