OBITUARIES FOR SUNDAY, AUG. 19, 2001

QUITMAN Services for Clarine Johnson were held Saturday at Old Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Arrington officiating. Burial was in Elwood Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson, 81, of Quitman, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Donald Johnson of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Edwona Barnett of Quitman and Gladys Lott of St. Louis; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter.
FANNIE MARTIN KIRKSEY
Homemaker
Services for Fannie Martin Kirksey will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Curt Pace and Bob Followell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Kirksey, 91, of Meridian, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Jewel Kirksey and Marie Pace and her husband, Gerald, all of Meridian; two granddaughters, Cindy Daugherty and her husband, Daryl and Beth Shannon and her husband, Jason, all of Meridian and two great-grandchildren, Matt and Brett Daugherty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edisol Kirksey and a son, David Kirksey.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
