League meetings under way

Well we have cruised through the summer and school as started.
The fall league meetings started Monday and we meet every night through Friday. We start bowling the next Monday and start every night through the 24th. If you have ever bowled in a league, we want you to join one with us. But if you have never bowled in a league, we will do our best to help you get going.
We will even give you some free coaching to help you become a good bowler and to enjoy the great game of bowling. It is a great way to meet new friends and it is great exercise. If you have any questions, please give us a call at Dixie Bowl at 483-2283 and set up a time to come see us or attend our league meeting.
We also have a good youth bowling program. They will meet on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and the Saturday youth league meets the 26th. We would love to have all the youth we can so we can teach them how to become a good bowler and to enjoy the great game. Come to a meeting and check us out.
Now for the high scores. In Senior league, Don McWilliams had a 215 and C.W. Gray had a 599. For the ladies, Mae Robinson had a 191 and Lou Timms had a 512. In Adult/Jr., Leon Fike had a 244/686 and Blake Smith had a 247/639. In Tuesday Mix, Jason Pierce had a 278 and M.A. Copeland had a 715. For the ladies, Nonie Embrey had a 238 and Mona McGrane had a 606.
I believe that is Mona's first 600. Good bowling girl! In Summer Trio, John Lott had a 266 and Thomas Clay had a 756. Sue Kirkpatrick led the ladies with a 197/529. In Ball &Chain, Ron Coleman had a 278/793, a great series. I think Billie should have fussed at him for not getting the 800. Ladonna Otwell had a 212/584 for the ladies.
As you can see we are having some good bowling so don't miss out. Join a league at Dixie Bowl and have fun. Until next week, hope to see you at the meeting or out bowling.
