Oklahoma man killed in crash on I-20

An Oklahoma man was killed and a Collinsville man was injured Tuesday in a crash involving two 18-wheelers on Interstate 20-Interstate 59 at mile marker 16, three miles west of Livingston, Ala.
Stephen F. Elliotte, 54, of Tahlequah, Okla., was killed in the crash. He was ejected from the 1997 Freightliner he was driving. Willie C. Davis, 60, of Collinsville, was injured in the crash. He was driving a 1997 International.
The Alabama Highway Patrol did not release the extent of Davis' injuries.
According to the patrol, the accident occurred at 4:15 p.m., when one truck crossed the median and struck the other truck. A fire resulted from the crash, involving both vehicles.
Elliotte was hauling automobile air bags. Davis' trailer was empty.
The patrol would not release any other information. The incident is still under investigation.
