George, Tabb

Shelley Welch Tabb and Thad Deas George, both of Meridian, were married Friday, June 1, 2001, at Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario, Canada.
Parents of the couple are Thad and Frances George of Enterprise, Jean Ross Welch of Atlanta and Robert Charles Welch of Meridian.
Music for the ceremony was provided by a violinist. The bride was given in marriage by her children, Zac and Mason Tabb.
She wore an empire waist gown of ivory satin with a Chiffon overlay enhanced with a beaded bodice and spaghetti straps. The bride carried a nosegay bouquet of peach colored roses.
Attending the wedding were Lauren Welch, sister of the bride, and Jean Welch, mother of the bride, both of Atlanta.
After a honeymoon in Niagara Falls, Canada and New York City, the couple resides in Meridian.
Upon the couples return, they were honored with several parties. Eric and Becky Stubbs hosted a gathering at their home. Friends also hosted a party at Briarwood County Club.
