Fresh from winning the Mississippi 4H Championships in the stake race, Fran and Callie Joe Surles of Meridian will be heading to Fort Worth, Texas to compete in the 30th Annual American Quarter Horse Youth Assoc. World Show Aug. 2-11.
The Surles girls will be competing against youth from the United States and several foreign countries.

Callie Jo, who will be entering the fifth grade at North Hills Christian School, will be competing for her second year in stakes, but this year she will be riding Casper. Callie Joe and Casper are currently leading the nation in stake race points.
Fran and Callie Jo are the daughters of Ross and Marion Surles of Cielito Ranch in Meridian.
