OBITUARIES FOR SUNDAY, JULY 29, 2001

MILDRED WILKINS ENGLISH
Retired from General Motors
Graveside services for Mildred Wilkins English were held Saturday at Enterprise Cemetery with James Young officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. English, 76, of Gulfport, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, in Gulfport. She was a retired employee of General Motors and served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include her husband, Rex English; a daughter, Debra Joiner, both of Gulfport; two sons, Rueben English of Gulfport, and Joseph "Joey" Miller of Meridian; two sisters, Madie Clendenon and Dimple Dudney; a brother, Pat Wilkins, all of Gulfport; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tellie B. and Nonnie Pulley Wilkins.
REBA AGENT
Homemaker
Services for Reba Agent will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Malcom Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Agent, 89, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at Beverly Health Care. She was a homemaker and a member of State Boulevard Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Trevaline Agent Morgan and her husband, Buddy, of Meridian; two brothers, Terris G. Agent and his wife, Nancy, of Gautier and Keith Agent and his wife, Sue, of San Diego; seven grandchildren, Mark Agent, Tony Morris, Tori Boling, Ken Pace, Scott Morgan, Marisa Morgan and Faith Hollingworth; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by nine siblings and her parents, Andy M. and Susan Burns.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
LARRY JOE WILLIS
SEBASTAPOL Services for Larry Joe Willis will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at John Memorial Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Willis, 41, of Carthage, died Friday, July 27, 2001, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include five sisters, Mattie Dixon, Sandra Billie and Vera Willis, all of Carthage, Donna Burr and Tammy Willis, both of Garrison, Minn.; two brothers, Lou Martin Willis and Barry Willis, both of Carthage and several nieces and nephews.
DORIS E. IVY
Nurse's aide for Broadmoor Nursing Center
Services for Doris E. Ivy will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be in Masadonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Ivy, 71, of Meridian, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a nurse's aide at Broadmoor Nursing Center and a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Herman Ivy and his wife, Tawny, of Collinsville and Danny Paul Ivy and his wife, Amy, of Meridian; three daughters, Gloria Vick of Meridian, Debbie Boyette and her husband, Don and Cindy Hedgepeth and her husband, Wayne, all of Bailey; five sisters, Jean Whaley and Hazel McAdams, both of Meridian, Lila Bohanon of Ashville, N.C., Pat Phillips of Butler, Ala. and Linda Kater of Baton Rouge, La.; two brothers, Tom Eddins of Demopolis, Ala., and Jimmy Eddins of Delta, Colo.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hulon Ivy and a sister, Jackie Pickard.
Pallbearers will be Don Boyette, Jason Vick, Harlon Ivy, Curtis Shumate, Kyle Ivy and Wayne Hedgepeth.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
LUCILLE STAEBLER MARTIN
Memorial services for Lucille Staebler Martin will be held Monday at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in New York City. Burial will in Rose Hill Cemetery in Meridian at a later date.
Mrs. Martin, 98, of New York City, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, in her home. Mrs. Martin lived in Meridian for several years before returning to New York. While living in Meridian she was active in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, The Meridian Little Theater and Merrehope.
Survivors include two daughters, Lucy Martin Gianino and her husband, Jack, and Wilhemina Martin Eaken and her husband, Bruce; five grandchildren, Gemina, Antonio and Jon Murray Gianino, Amanda and Webb Eaken, all of New York City; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Dr. and Mrs. Guy T. Vise Sr. of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Murray Martin.
MARY LOVIE BRADDY
Retired bookkeeper
MACON Services for Mary Lovie Braddy will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with Glenn Miller officiating. Burial will be in Soule Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Braddy, 87, of Brooksville, died Friday, July 27, 2001, at Noxubee General Hospital. She was a retired bookkeeper.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Marie Taylor of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Walter R. "Bubba" Taylor of Brooksville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter B. Taylor and James C. Braddy.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ALBERT A. BROWN
Retired from Eastern Airlines
Services for Albert A. Brown will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Herb Boyles and Mike Pilgrim officiating. Burial will be in Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Brown, 77, of Preston, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Riley Hospital. He was a retired employee of Eastern Airlines.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Brown and his wife, Judy of Tallahassee, Fla.; a sister, Essie Keene of McMinnville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Brown.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
EUGENE BELL JR.
Mississippi Action for Progress
Services for Eugene Bell Jr. will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Newell Chapel Methodist Church with Gerald Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bell, 55, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at his home. He was employed with Mississippi Action for Progress.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Rackley Bell of Meridian; three daughters, Angela Bell of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Niki Bell of Oakland, Calif. and Amelia Portis of Meridian; a son, Eugene Bell III of Detroit; two step-daughters, Codie Rush and La Keysha Rice, both of Meridian; a step-son, Robert Rice Jr. of Meridian; his father, Eugene Bell Sr. and step-mother, Peggy Bell and two step-sisters, Tonia Austin and Amy Amerson, all of Meridian; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Bell.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Cornelia Hunter, 92, of Meridian, who died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
