Roberts, Spencer

Anna Roberts of Lisman, Ala., announces the engagement of her daughter, Mary Yvonne Roberts of Thomasville, Ala., to Joseph Raphael Spencer of Baumholder, Germany, son of Bertha Spencer of Butler, Ala. and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Spencer of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, July 28, 2001, at 4 p.m. at Shiloh CME Church in Lisman.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Jeff and Mary Jean Roberts of Lisman.
She is a graduate of Choctaw County High School and received a bachelor's degree in family and consumer science education from Alabama A&M University.
While in college, she was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Order of Eastern Star, American Education Association, American Vocational Association and the Alabama Army National Guard. She is employed by the Clarke County School System.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Alice Cole of Chicago, the Rev. and Mrs. Joe Spencer of Pennington, Ala., and the late Annie Chapman of Lisman.
He is a graduate of Choctaw County High School and is employed by the U.S. Army.
