The Mississippi state champion Meridian 10-year-old All-Stars defeated Little Rock, Ark., 9-5 Tuesday afternoon to claim the Cal Ripken Southwest Regional Championship in Blytheville, Ark.
Scoring details were not available at press time.
The team now advances to the Cal Ripken World Series in Indiana the first week of August.
