JACKSON  Her fans began mourning the death of Eudora Welty on Monday even as they celebrated her extraordinary life as a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer whose vintage Mississippi stories captivated readers worldwide.
Welty said fiction provided her with the most productive tool for analyzing human personality.
