John Moss Fall Baseball: registration for ages 14-17 is going on now until Aug. 18. Registration forms may be picked up at Judge Little. The $35 registration fee is due upon sign-up. Hoops Summer Slam: 3-on-3 basketball double elimination tournament, sponsored by the Tupelo Parks and Recreation Department, will be held July 21 and 28 at the Front Street Courts. There is no registration fee, with teams registering at 4:30 p.m. each day and action beginning at 5 p.m. There are age groups for boys, girls, men and women. Lake Lowndes State Park: in Columbus will host a the 9th Annual Lake Lowndes Duathlon Aug. 18 beginning at 8 a.m. Distances are a two mile run, 13 mile bike ride and another two mile run. Early entry fee is $20 with registration the day of the race $25. For more information, call 662-328-2110.

Meridian Swim Association is offering Meridian Swim School for beginner swimmers of all ages. Two weeks sessions beginning July 23 will introduce children to the pool and swimming.
