OBITUARIES FOR SATURDAY, JULY 21, 2001

PHILADELPHIA n Services for Etna B. Winstead will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Winstead, 92, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include a son, Bill Winstead of Germantown, Tenn., and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Congressman Arthur Winstead Sr.
INEZ BARBOUR COOPER

QUITMAN Services for Inez Barbour Cooper will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Stonewall Methodist Church with the Revs. Doc Williamson Paul McDonald and Lynn McRaney officiating. Burial will be in Stonewall Cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cooper, 86, of Shubuta, died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at Golden Meadow Nursing Home.
Survivors include her husband, Ned Cooper of Shubuta; two sons, Maxie Cooper of Montgomery, Ala. and Jerry Cooper of Greensboro, N.C.; three daughters, Janet MacGregor of Peachtree City, Ga., Joan Pratt of Burnsville, Minn., and Susan McNair of Brown Summitt, N.C.; a brother, Wavely Barbour and a sister, Lucille McMillian, both of Greensboro; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Blair McCoy.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
SHIRLEY JOHNSON
Memorial services for Shirley Johnson will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson, 60, of Meridian, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the WIBC Bowling League and a long time Boy Scouts of America Volunteer in the Meridian Area.
CHARLES A. ARMSTRONG
Retired Meridian High School principal
Services for Charles A. Armstrong will be held Saturday, July 28, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Meridian with the Rev. Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Newton. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Armstrong, 82, of Meridian, died Friday, July 20, 2001, in his home.
Visitation will be Friday, July 27, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service.
