NASCAR simulator, car show, stickball among highlights of Choctaw Indian Fair

PHILADELPHIA NASCAR fans will find something of interest at the 52nd annual Choctaw Indian Fair, which gets under way Wednesday on the Pearl River Reservation.
Dale Jarrett's NASCAR simulator and car show will be set up on the softball field. It will be open during the afternoons all four days.
Work is under way to transform the reservation into a fairgrounds. Tents are going up to house the different exhibits and an amphitheater is being prepared for the annual Choctaw Princess Pageant. There will be 18 contestants in this year's program, which will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Ticket prices are as follows: adult season pass $15; adult day pass $10; student season $10; student day pass $5.
The events are as follows:
Wednesday: 7 p.m. – 2001 Choctaw Indian Princess Pageant; 10:15 p.m. – World Series Stickball;
Thursday: 7 p.m. – Red Bone; 8 p.m. – Ty Herndon; 10:15 p.m. – World Series Stickball;
Friday: 7 p.m. – Andy Griggs; 8 p.m. – Sawyer Brown; 10:15 p.m. – World Series Stickball;
Saturday: 7 p.m. – Dick Hardwick; 8 p.m. – Lonestar; 10:15 p.m. – World Series Stickball.

Gates open at 11 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and close at 1 a.m. Gates open at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and close at 2 a.m.
