Makey, Frug

Dr. and Mrs. David Arthur Makey of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicola Christine, to Lix Joseph Frug III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lix Joseph Frug Jr. of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at 7 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church.
Miss Makey is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Robertson Makey of London, England; Christina Wallace of Dublin, Ireland, and the late William Wallace.
The bride-elect graduated as valedictorian of her class at Meridian High School before going on to receive a bachelor of arts degree in English, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi.
While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of the Honors Program, secretary of the Associated Student Body Government, vice-president of Tri Delta sorority and named an Ole Miss Favorite.
Miss Makey is currently a senior account manager at Calysto Communications in Atlanta, a public relations agency specializing in telecommunications.
Mr. Frug is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lix Joseph Frug, the late Elbert Brown and the late Josephine Cutler.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Alabama.
While attending U of A, he served as president of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
He is currently employed with Frug Oil Company.
A reception will be held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.
