A powerful thunderstorm toppled trees and power lines Thursday afternoon in Choctaw County, Ala.
Choctaw County Emergency Management Director Bill Gibson said although there was a tornado reported, officials couldn't confirm the sighting.
According to Gibson, there had been no reports of injuries or significant property damage from the storms that occurred around 2 p.m.
Gibson said most of the damage was localized in the southern portion of the county.
Heavy winds and rain were also reported Thursday afternoon in southeast Lauderdale County.
