OBITUARIES FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 12, 2001

Retired nurse
Services for Katherine Curry Barber will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Chunky Baptist Church with the Revs. Wayne Campbell and Curtis Guess officiating. Burial will be in Chunky Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Barber, 81, of Chunky, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, in her home. She was a retired nurse employed with Rush Foundation Hospital and Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. Ms. Barber was a member of the Mississippi Board of Nursing, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Hickory Reading Club and the Chunky Homemakers Club.
Survivors include three sons, Earl Barber and his wife, Debbie, of Mesa, Ariz., Chet Barber and his wife, Sandy, of Natchez and Tim Barber and his wife, Patti, of Chunky; five sisters, Caroline Taylor and Pat Bauer, both of Meridian, Jane McKibben of Pensacola, Fla., Ruby Richardson of Catherine, Ala. and Betty Ratcliff of Houston, Texas; a brother, Donald Curry of Meridian; two granddaughters, nine step-grandchildren, three great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mettro Barber.
Pallbearers will be Roger Shirley, Stan Nelson, Billy Joe Gressett, Charles Hurst, Johnny Clark and Rusty Kastla.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

DEKALB Services for Iola Donald will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. John Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Watkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Donald, 76, of DeKalb, died Sunday June 10, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Levi Donald of DeKalb; three daughters, Loretta Donald of Boston, Marvell Harris and her husband, Floyd, of Jackson and Marilyn Donald of Ridgeland; a son, Martin E. Donald and his wife, Shanda, of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Willie M. Dean of Porterville and James A. Dean and his wife, Evelyn, of Cincinnati, Ohio; four sisters, Susan A. Royston of Memphis, Lula McKinney of Cincinnati, Bobbie J. Washington and her husband, L.C., of Gary, Ind. and Charity Cannon and her husband, Benjamin, of Jackson; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two children and a brother.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton for Timothy "Timmy" McCoy, 34, of Decatur, who died Friday, June 1, 2001, at Moricopa Medical Center in Phoenix.
