Breston laid to rest

A veteran member of the Meridian Police Department was laid to rest last Sunday. Breston, a 10-year-old police dog, received full departmental honors.
This was an appropriate display of respect and dignity for a valued member of the city's law enforcement team. Handler Ricky Roberts described Breston as almost instinctively drawn to the field of law enforcement, instantly able to tell good guys from bad guys and responding accordingly.
It is proper to salute Breston's contributions to the cause of making this city a better place in which to live. His presence on the job will be long remembered.
