Jordon is one of more than a dozen artists whose paintings will be featured in the newest exhibit at Bonnie Busbee Art Frame and Gallery: Fruits of Our Labor: Artwork by Bonnie Busbee's Students. The exhibit will kick off with a reception Thursday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. The reception is open to the public.
Other artists whose work will be featured in the show are: Rhonda Denton, Ellen Evans, Stacy Florey, Mandy Goldman, Louise Harmon, Ruth Hime, Bonnie James, Heidi Odom, Sarah Ragsdale, Johnny Roberts, Sharon Sheridan, Merrie Smith, Susan Thompson and Evelyn Threatt.
For many students, taking art can be life-changing.
Sheridan feels similarly.
Thompson agreed, saying, "I look at everything differently. The thinking that goes into painting does that to you. Taking art from Bonnie, I've learned so much it's been a great learning experience!"
The Fruits of Our Labor exhibit will continue its run at Bonnie Busbee Art Frame and Gallery through June. The gallery is located at 712 23rd Ave. in downtown Meridian, and regular gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. For more information, call 693-6363.
