Beard, Gunter

Janice Beard of Meridian and Fred L. Beard Jr. of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Cooper Beard of Columbus, to Henry Harris Gunter IV, son of Penny G. Beaty and Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Gunter III, all of Columbus.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 23, 2001, at 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Columbus.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nita Cooper and the late James Cooper and Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Beard Sr., all of Columbus.
Miss Beard is a graduate of Heritage Academy and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Belhaven College. She is currently employed as OEM sales and marketing coordinator at Microtek Medical in Columbus.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Albert R. Glenn of Columbus, the late Levie Glenn and Asa T. Briley of Columbus and the late Marie P. Briley.
Mr. Gunter is a graduate of Heritage Academy and attended Mississippi State University. He is currently manager of Columbus Machine and Welding Works in Columbus.
