The investigation into the Sunday night shooting death of 22-year-old Tyrone Moffett continued today, as six sheriff's deputies conducted interviews and gathered evidence.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Billy Sollie said Investigator Ricky Presson attended the autopsy of Moffett's body Tuesday night in Jackson.
The shooting occurred about 10 p.m. Sunday night on Will Wright Road.
The sheriff said the shooting apparently happened as Moffett and two friends Tyrone Tillman of Sandflat Road and Mark Marquise Cole of First Street in Meridian were riding around together. Moffett was driving.
Moffett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone with information about this shooting should call CrimeStoppers at 917-8888.
