John Moss Registration: It's time to sign up for Meridian Dixie Baseball (15-16 and 17-18 age groups) at John Moss Field. Even if you played at John Moss last year, you need to sign up again. Forms may be picked up at Judge Little Sportings Goods or the Meridian Parks and Recreation office. Forms should either be brought to John Moss Baseball Field or mailed to: Meridian Dixie Baseball, P.O. Box 4709, Meridian, MS, 39305. Please make check or money order to Meridian Dixie Baseball. On-site registration at John Moss is set for April 27 (5-7 p.m.) and April 28 (5-7 p.m.). Registration fee of $45 due when signing up. Draft for 15-16-year-olds is April 29 at 2 p.m., while draft for 17-18-year-olds is May 6, both at John Moss. Coaches will inform players as to which team they belong. National Qualifier: Southern Spring Classic Baseball Tournament, National Tournament Qualifier, April 27-29 at South Commons Park in Columbus, Ga. Pool play, three-game guarantee for boys ages 9 and 10 (entry fee $275 per team) and boys ages 11 and 12 (entry fee $325 per team). Nationally-affiliated with Super Series Baseball. Wildcat Baseball Camp: The Meridian High School Wildcat Baseball Camp will be held May 29-June 1 at John Moss Baseball Field.
The camp is open to boys ages 9-14. Camp sessions will be held from 9 a.m. until Noon each day. The cost is $40.
The camp will include individual instruction, bunting games, pitching games, a radar gun to clock pitches, video taping of batting, camp T-shirt and a scrimmage on the last day of camp.
Players will be grouped according to age and ability.
Registration will take place at UJohn Moiss Field from 8:30-9 a.m. on May 29.

Rick Stansbury s 2001 Bulldog Basketball Camps: All camps take place at Mississippi State University in Starkville.
The High School Team Camp will be held June 7-10 and costs $135 per person.
The Individual Camp will be held June 11-14 and costs $200 per person.
The Individual Day Camp will be held June 25-28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $95 per person.

MAYB Registration: Mid-American Youth Basketball, which has been running youth basketball events for eight years, will host 110 events in 16 states for boys and girls ages 4-12. Five-game guarantee. ECCC Boys Camps: East Central Community College Boys Basketball Camps. Junior High (grades 4-8) June 3-6; Senior High (grades 9-12) June 10-13. Delta State Girls Camps: Delta State University girls' summer basketball camps, June 3-7 and June 17-21 for girls grades 7-12. Cost of camp is $220 for resident camper and $110 for commuter campers. A $25 deposit is required. Schools with eight or more resident campers will be given a $10 discount per player. Delta State Boys Team Camp: Delta State University boys' team camp, July 13-15 on the DSU campus. Fee is $125 for overnight campers and $75 for commuters. Each team will need $100 deposit to reserve spot in camp. Teams will play 10 games and will be seeded into a tournament. Erick Dampier Camp: Overnight basketball camp with former Mississippi State standout and current Golden State Warrior Erick Dampier stressing fundamental skills. June 21-23 at Millsaps College in Jackson. Boys and girls ages 7-18. Cost is $150. For more information, contact Don at (601)-264-9490. Tuition includes overnight dorm accomodations, meals, camp t-shirt, certificate of participation and an autographed picture of Dampier. Several high school coaches will assist in the instruction.
Ten Star Basketball Camp: Applications are now being evaluated for the Ten Star All-Star summer basketball camp. Applications are open to boys ages 8-19 and girls ages 10-19. Players are selected by invitation only. Past participants include Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Vince Carter, Jerry Stackhouse, Grant Hill, Bobby Hurley, Antawn Jamison, Christian Laettner, Tom Gugliotta and Trajan Langdon. Cheerleading
JCJC Camp: The Jones County Junior College cheerleaders will sponsor their annual cheerleader camp June 11-13. Interested individuals, private squads, elementary and junior high school squads may attend. Camp runs June 11 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., June 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and June 13 from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Cost is $55 per cheerleader, which includes instruction and camp T-shirt.
