Rush Medical Group to expand

By By Kelly Quackenbush/The Meridian Star
April 27, 2001
Rush Medical Group is expanding its rehabilitation center in two weeks to accommodate a growing demand for shoulder surgeries.
Shoulder surgery has become advanced in recent years, and Rush orthopedic surgeons are keeping up with the new technology.
Many of Rush's shoulder injury patients are athletes. New procedures are attractive to them because they require smaller incisions and less recovery time. Even the screws and anchors used to hold the bones in place dissolve over time.
With the expansion will come the hiring of a new surgeon, Dr. James Watson, in mid-July.
