High school students attend MCC Preview Day

Local high school students got to explore the Meridian Community College campus Saturday at the MCC Preview Day.
More than 60 students and parents visited the MCC campus to see what the college has to offer. The program, in its second year, gives student recruiters a chance to show off their campus and high school students a chance to decide if MCC is right for them.
The day's events included:
A performance, "Surviving Life," performed by MCC student recruiters who demonstrated the importance of college education through a "Survivor" theme skit;
A tour of the campus. Students had a chance to talk to teachers and advisors, examine the campus clubs and organizations, visit the residence halls, and had the chance to attend a MCC soccer game, a MCC baseball game, MCC vs. Bossier Parish; and the concert of King Konga at Mississippi State University- Meridian campus. The parents could attend the events with their children and also had a separate session dealing with financial aid.
