OBITUARIES FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 21, 2001

PHILADELPHIA Services for Ruby Mae Moore will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dudley Winstead officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Chapel-Moore Cemetery in Carthage.
Mrs. Moore, 84, of Charthage, died Friday, April 20, 2001 at Rankin Medical Center in Brandon.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon L. Moore of Carthage; two daughters, Iva Rhinewalt of Florence and Carrol Harvey of Brandon; a son, Charlie L. Moore of Brandon; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Alma Luverne Raines will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kendall Turner officiating. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery in Silas.
Mrs. Raines, 78, of Quitman, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Lakeside Living Center.
Survivors include five daughters, Mary Land and Ann Long, both of Butler, Ann Downey of Quitman, Rosie Ezell and Kathy McGowin, both of Meridian; two sons, Harvey Raines of Meridian and Jimmy Raines of Atlanta; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

HATTIESBURG Services for Leona Elizabeth Russell will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at West Kemper County Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Holloman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Moore Funeral Home of Hattiesburg in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Russell, 89, of Petal, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Hattiesburg Convalescent Center.
She was a native of Kemper County and a member of West Kemper Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn Hollomon of Quitman and Shirley Jordon and Josie Watkins, both of Petal; three brothers, Harvey McFarland and Ray McFarland, both of DeKalb and A.B. McFarland of Ellisville; three sisters, Walterine Edwards of Meridian, Mary Ida Edwards of DeKalb and Grace Hull of Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Franklin Russell; daughters, Opal Easterling and Imogene Russell; parents, Terrell Alexander McFarland and Shelly Hardy McFarland; sisters, Sula Hudnall, Macie George, Elna Hadan and Marjorie McElhaney; and a brother, J.T. McFarland.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the church services at West Kemper County Baptist Church.

WEST POINT Services for Frances S. Stafford will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home with the Rev. Inge Halbert officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
Mrs. Stafford, 78, of Cedar Bluff, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Clay County Medical Center. She was a member of Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church, the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a sister, Sue Clay of Bailey and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, R.L. Skipper and Carlotta Sue Hooks Skipper and her husband, James T. Stafford.
Pallbearers will be Neal Williams, Jack Wilson, Dennis Crockett, Chad Vaughn, Kirk Hyche and Heath Donahoo. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. T.N. Braddock, Dr. Frank Nichols and Frank Skipper.
Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
BOBBIE JO AVERA JOLES
Services for Bobbie Jo Avera Joles will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Joles, 31, of Meridian, died Thursday, April 19, 2001 in Lisman, Ala.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
