Man charged in murder

A Meridian man has been charged with murder as the result of a Friday shooting.
The criminal investigations unit of the Meridian Police Department charged Marcus Hull, 18, 1012 27th Ave., with the crime, according to officers.
Lt. Wade Johnson of the Meridian Police Department said the victim, who has not been identified, was fighting with Hull when the shooting occurred. The incident occurred at the intersection of 32nd Avenue and 12th Street.
The victim died shortly afterward at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Hull was later arrested by Meridian police in the vicinity of 14th Street and 27th Avenue, Johnson said.
Hull is being held in the Lauderdale County Jail on $50,000 bond.
