Meridian police Saturday were awaiting a report of an autopsy on a Cuba, Ala., man who died Friday in a dispute.
Lt. Wade Johnson, a police spokesman, said the autopsy was done in Jackson on the body of Antonio Grant, 19, who apparently died of a gunshot wound.
Marcus "Marco" Earl, 19, of Meridian was being held on murder charges in the Lauderdale County Detention Center. Earl was arrested by Meridian police shortly after the incident.
