DEKALB Kemper County Sheriff Sam Tisdale is expected to be released from Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center today after treatment for a blocked artery.
McGrevey said Tisdale went to his doctor for a routine check-up earlier this week. The doctor recommended additional tests, so Tisdale returned Thursday for a treadmill test. McGrevey said doctors were concerned about Tisdale's test readings and admitted him to the hospital.
McGrevey said Tisdale was admitted to the intensive care unit for monitoring .
He said normal law enforcement operations at the sheriff's department continue uninterrupted.
