City Tournament time is here again

Hi bowling fans. It seems as if I'm saying another month has come and gone too fast, but March is history and April is here, which means it is City Tournament time.
The ladies kicked off March 31, and will finish up April 7-8. After a week off for Easter the men will be bowling for their championship the last two weekends in April.
That also means the fall and winter leagues are coming to an end. The summer league schedules are out with all summer leagues starting the week of May 28. So get your team ready. If you don't have a team we'll help you get one. You may sign up at the counter or by calling 483-2283. Everyone is invited to come and have fun bowling. All summer leagues will run 12 weeks.
The youth leader for our youth program will be selling barbecue chicken plates all four weekends of the City Tournament for $5 a plate. So drop by, get a plate, and come inside to watch some good bowling.
As we go to the high scores of the week we find that they have slowed down as we had only four 700 series for the week.
We will start with the Queen City with Eric Embrey bowling a 267 game and Randy Rives a 697 series. In Dixie Belles, Janie Tisdale led with a 241/647. In Ball &Chain, Robert Brown had a 257/721 while Billie Coleman had a 206 and Lisa Parker had a 562 for the ladies.
In the Senior League, Dewitt Griffin rolled a 231 and Larry Hattell had a 616. Jan Kasper led the ladies with a 202/559. In Monday Nighters, Robert Johnson had a 227 and Robert Brown rolled a 601. For the ladies, Nellie Dubose had a 201/556.
In Hucklebuck, Kenneth Miller rolled a 279/728. In the MCC league, Jim Evans led the men with a 194/530 while Claudia Elliot led the ladies with a 169/440. In Tuesday Mix, Scott White rolled a 279/758 and Richelle Porter had a 232/606.
In Bowlerettes, Lou Timms had a 203/580. In the Northwoood league Claudia Elliott rolled a 164/429. In Wednesday Mix, Johnnie Blackmon had a 269/787 while Janie Tisdale led the ladies with a 224/635. And in the youth Fun Time league, Jamie Rogers led with a 196/568.
As we wrap up another week of bowling news, just remember if you have not enjoyed the game of bowling it is not too late. We have people form ages three to 94 bowling.
