BOONE, REECE
Dr. and Mrs. Albert Gary Boone of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Alison, to Parker Waring Reece, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Alaway Reece Jr. of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 19, 2001, at 6 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Miss Boone is the granddaughter of the late Clarence Albert and Eugenia Allen Boone of Laurel; Genevieve Hutter Van Gilder of DeSoto, Texas, and the late Robert Ellis Van Gilder.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in interior design from the University of Mississippi.
While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
Mr. Reece is the grandson of Janis Biggers Reece of Columbus and the late Morris Alaway Reece Sr.; Dexter Winford and Martha Hudson Anthony of Fulton.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and will receive his degree in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University in May. At MSU he is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
A reception will be held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
SPEARS, RICKLES
Mr. and Mrs. Odie Spears Jr. of Union announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Ruth, to Mark Aaron Rickles, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Larry Rickles of Union.
The wedding will be held Saturday, March 24, 2001, at 6 p.m. at Linwood Baptist Church.
Miss Spears is the granddaughter of the late Leonard Russell Porter and the late Ruthie Mae Hawkins, both of Goodman, and Odie J. Spears of Union and the late Loka Pearl Spears.
Mr. Rickles is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Rickles of Philadelphia; Myra Thrash of Union and the late S.D. "Spot" Thrash.
A reception will be held in the fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
FOSTER, LEWIS
Jerry and Freida Hudspeth of Wacilla, Alaska, announce the engagement of their daughter, Renee H. Foster, to Rexford A. Lewis, son of Pete and Blanche Lewis of Derry, N.H.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Church of the Mediator in Meridian.
Ms. Foster is the granddaughter of Basil and Kate Barnhill of Jackson.
She is a graduate of Doyle High School and is self-employed with a home day care business.
Mr. Lewis is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lewis of Lunenburg, Vt.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of White Mountains Regional High School and received a engineering degree from the University of New Hampshire.
Mr. Lewis is employed by Fairbanks Scales and Sears.
A private dinner reception will be hosted by the couple's family.
Family and friends are invited to attend the wedding.
