Services for Melba L. Wright will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James K. Williams, Terry Long and Jeff Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright, 69, of Meridian, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, in Meridian. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member of First Church of God and served on various boards. She taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Farris Wright, three daughters, Linda McNail and her husband, Marvin, Rhonda Wright and Pam McGill and her husband, Clay, all of Meridian; three grandchildren, Robert McNail, Brian McNail and Jessica McGill; two sisters, Betty Sue Johnson and her husband, Robert, of George County and Judy Johnson and her husband, Monroe, of South Carolina; two brothers, Billy Ray Long and his wife, Norene, and Bobby Long and his wife, Alice, all of Big Point; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Fancher and Marie Long, both of Wade; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Betty Long; two brothers, Walter Earl Long and Charles Clifton Long.
Pallbearers will be Gary Wright, Jerry Ethridge, Lynn Davidson, Ray Eubanks, Leonard Eubanks, Leslie Anderson, Danny Matthews and Andy Jones.

Services for Julie Grace will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Goodway Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. A.C. Rush officiating. Burial will be in Donald Rest Cemetery in Philadelphia with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Grace, 108, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, in Philadelphia.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Dianne Grace, of Lauderdale, and a grandson, Ken Grace, of Meridian.
Visitation will be today from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
FRED DOUGLAS
Henderson Sr.
Services for Fred Douglas Henderson Sr. will be held today at noon at New Prospect Baptist Church in Savoy with the Rev. Claude Tucker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Enterprise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Henderson, 83, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his father, Frank Henderson; a son, Fred Henderson and his wife, Karen; a daughter, Marie Harvey; a brother, Andrew Lee; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Henderson.
Visitation will be today at 11 a.m. at the church.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Zella Bell Barrett will be held today at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Leber and Matt DuBord officiating. Burial will be in Carthage Memorial Gardens with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Barrett, 90, of Carthage, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Leake Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
Survivors include a daughter, Billye Tingle of Carthage; a granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ples Barrett in 1989.

MILLRY, Ala. A memorial service for Luther Dean Johnson will be held today at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Jackson, Ala.
Mr. Johnson, 62, of St. Stephens, Ala., died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Colette Johnson of St. Stephens; four sons, David Johnson and his wife, Teresa, of Jackson, Charles Johnson and his wife, Birdy, of St. Paul, Minn., James Blake Johnson and his wife, Mary Ann, of North Augusta, S.C., and Cody Johnson and his wife, Michelle, of Mobile; two sisters, Frances Avery and her husband, Cody, of Macon, Miss., and Mary Blake Mosley and her husband, Carmon of Cleveland, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to the Alpha Center, 232 Kimball Ave., Jackson, AL 36945.

Mrs. Ben, 63, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Perry L. Ben of Philadelphia; a son, James Farmer of Philadelphia; a daughter, Lillie Mae Billie of Florida; and a half brother, Sterling Bell of Philadelphia; and two half sisters.
Visitation will continue today until service time at her home.

Mrs. Smith, 81, of Pulaski, died Friday, March 9, 2001, in Raleigh.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Praet of Pulaski, and Dot Lewis of Mobile, Ala.; two brothers, Jack Smith of Helena, and Ray Smith of Escatawpa; four sisters, Salley Stewart, Earline Reeves, Bobbie Reynolds and Faye White, all of Quitman; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
