Junior Miss program Saturday at MHS

On Saturday, two senior high school girls one from Meridian and one from Lauderdale County will be named 2002's Junior Misses, eligible to compete in the state program.
Sponsored by the Greater Meridian Jaycees, the competition will begin at 7 p.m. in the Meridian High School auditorium. Fifteen Meridian and Lauderdale County girls will compete.
As with the state and national finals, candidates will be evaluated in five areas: Poise, talent, fitness, judges' interview and scholastic achievement. The highest cumulative averages among these categories will determine the next Meridian and Lauderdale County Junior Misses.
Representing the Class of 2002 are:
Summer Irene Richie, the daughter of Doug Richie and Mary Miller.
Katy Alise Beesley, the daughter of Michael and Susan Beesley.
Lindsey Erin Kyles, the daughter of Everette and Brenda Kyles.
Jaime Elizabeth Broadhead, the daughter of Dale and Susie Broadhead.
Ann Marie Hall, the daughter of Steve Hall and Robin Hall.
Heather Rose Goodwin, the daughter of Robert and Rose Goodwin.
Deborah Lindsey Knight, the daughter of Jeff and Debbie Gibbs.
Lauderdale County
Natalie Diana Eggler, the daughter of Benny and Jan Eggler.
Carrie Elizabeth Jones, the daughter of Michael and Paulette Jones.
Amy Nichole Poole, the daughter of Timothy and Sharon Poole.
Natalie Cherre Goldman, the daughter of Mike and Sherry Goldman.
Megan Leah Lanterman, the daughter of Terry and Kristi Lanterman.
Brittany Leigh Mosley, the daughter of Danny Mosley and Cathy Sivyer.
Alexis Danielle Pomierski, the daughter of Dr. David Pomierski and Cheryl Richardson.
Elizabeth Ann Harmon, the daughter of Robert and Rebecca Harmon.
The Meridian and Lauderdale County winners will go on to compete in the state program, which will be held in August at the Temple Theatre.
