Southeast wins behind Ruffin's 21 points

For the first time this season, Monique Horner was not the leading scorer for the Southeast Lauderdale Lady Tigers.
Southeast picked up an 86-64 road victory over Carthage, led by Leslie Ruffin's 21 points. Horner, who fouled out in the fourth quarter, notched 17 points while Shalonda Mitchell scored 12 and Kenitta Cooley notched 11. Southeast led 56-26 at the half.
The Lady Tigers will be the No. 2 team when they host the division tournament starting Monday.
Carthage boys 94, Southeast Lauderdale 64: Carthage picked up the win, despite the fact that four Southeast Tigers were in double figures. Ben Reed scored 16 points for Southeast, followed Lapatrick Carlisle with 15, Anthony Horner with 11 and Jonathan Russell with 10.
Meridian boys 88, Provine 68 Michael Davis scored 17 points to pace the Meridian Wildcats past Provine in Jackson.
The Wildcats, now 23-7 on the year, led 36-20 at the half. Keno Lelore and Fred Cole added 11 points while Matthew Gonzales scored 10.
Newton County girls 66, Union 49: Tamekia Foley scored 33 points to lead the Lady Tigers of Newton County past Union.
Lakelia Bogan added 10 points to Newton County's cause as it upped its record to 26-4 on the season.
Frances McDougle scored 14 points to lead Union, followed by Lasaundra Harrison with 11 and Jerrica Hickman with 10.
Enterprise girls 38, Scott Central 36: Shondra Bester scored 13 points to lead the Enterprise girls past Scott Central. Katie Nixon's 12 points paced Scott Central while Brittany Burkes added 10.
Wayne County boys 66, Gulfport 55 Patrick Evans scored 17 points and Patrick Slater added 16 to lead Wayne County over Gulfport Friday night.
Wayne County, now 24-2 on the season, hosts the Division 5-5A tournament starting Tuesday.
Enterprise boys 84, Scott Central 44 The Enterprise boys finished the regular season with a 13-16 record as they dominated Scott Central. Corey Boggan scored 33 points to lead the Bulldogs while Bryan Bester added 15 and Burrell Gandy notched 10.
Choctaw Central girls 65, Lloyd Star 50 The Lady Warriors finished the regular season with a 26-3 record as they dominated Lloyd Star.
Crystal Lewis scored 14 points to lead Choctaw Central, while De'Aundrea Johnson added 13 and Chantay Frazier scored 12.
Choctaw Central boys 87, Lloyd Star 82 (2OT) The Warriors of Choctaw Central went through two overtimes to defeat Lloyd Star 87-82.
The score was tied a 69-all at the end of the regulation.
Kinsley Henry scored 19 points to lead Choctaw Central. Julius Willis added 18, Brandon Sam 15, and Tony Garcia 14. Brad Britt scored 29 points to lead Lloyd Star.
Aberdeen boys 66, Neshoba Central 63: Aberdeen outscored the Rockets 19-11 in the fourth quarter to take Friday's division win at Philadelphia.
The Bulldogs, who already had the division's regular season championship wrapped up, made three free throws in the final 40 seconds for the win after Neshoba's Calvin Parker tied the game at 63-63 on a basket with 46 seconds left.
Neshoba, 16-12, got 14 points from Desmond Jones, 13 from Landon Byars, 11 from Tawon Walker, nine from Parker, seven from Tavares Walker, and six from Chris Owen.
Aberdeen, 23-3, got 15 points from Don Huggins, 13 from Jamaal Walker, 11 from Richie Howard, and 10 each from Trey Robinson and Quinton White.
The Lady Rockets racked up a 92-79 victory over Aberdeen.
Both Neshoba teams will play Monday in the division tournament at New Hope.
The Philadelphia boys defeated Noxapater 64-42.
