OBITUARIES FOR SATURDAY, FEB. 10, 2001

EDWIN R. COLEMAN
PHILADELPHIA Graveside services for Edwin R. Coleman will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater with the Rev. Kim Poe officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Coleman, 86, of Noxapater, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.
Survivors include four daughters, Faye Thomas and Reba Coward, both of Philadelphia, Wanda Mayerhoff of Meridian, and Nancy Bateman of Louisville; three sons, Johnny Coleman of Tupelo, Tommy Coleman of Louisville, and Jeffery Coleman of Noxapater; a sister, Florence Russell of Noxapater; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae Triplett Coleman in 1998.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ZELMA SWEARINGEN LEE CRAIG
FOREST Services for Zelma Swearingen Lee Craig will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Goodhope Baptist Church with the Revs. Steve Robinson, James Galloway and Dr. Leon Everett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Craig, 77, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Newton Regional Hospital in Newton.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Shoemaker and her husband, Billy, of Lake, Nelda Strickland and her husband, Jimmy, of Union, and Debra Hartman and Mary Parks and her husband, Brent, all of Newton; three brothers, Paul Swearingen of Suqualena, David Swearingen of Mobile, Ala., and James Swearingen of Hickory; four sisters, Ruth Gressett of Fairhope, Ala., Mary Harris of Mobile, Ala., and Sarah Sellers and Martha Swearingen, both of Meridian; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alton Lee, and a granddaughter, Tonya Hartman.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Otelia Deering Haynes will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home chapel in Pine Bluff, Ark., with the Rev. Michael Washington officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pine Bluff with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements and Brown Funeral Home in charge of final arrangements.
Mrs. Haynes, 82, of Quitman, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at Benchmark Health Care in Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Haynes of Quitman; two sons, Leroy Holt of Quitman and Floyd Ray Crawford; a sister, Rose Bornslater; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
SAMUEL GORDON
Services for Samuel Gordon will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home chapel in Quitman with burial in Elwood Cemetery.
Mr. Gordon, 35, of Baltimore, Md., died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, in Baltimore.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia of Philadelphia, Penn.; his father, Freddie Gordon; a sister, Rosalyn Gaines; a brother, Freddie Gordon Jr., all of Cincinnati, Ohio; and his grandmother.
BETTY ANN MCDONALD

PHILADELPHIA Services for Betty Ann McDonald will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Goodway Baptist Church with Burial in Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McDonald, 88, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Heartfelt Hospice Restcare.
Survivors include three daughters, Neelie Hartdige of Chicago, Nellie Allmon of Philadelphia and Linda McDonald of Fort Washington, Md.; four sons, R.J. McDonald and Billy Ray McDonald, both of Syracuse, N.Y., and Cleo McDonald and Larry McDonald, both of Philadelphia; two sisters, Armetta Daniels of Detroit, and Rosanna Pears of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Cleveland Simmons of Detroit; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
