A lesson on self-discipline

By Staff
CHARACTER EDUCATION Magnolia Middle School students, from left, Jakkita Bolden, Mindy Mendiola, Michael Johnson, Marrisa Stanton and Meeta Desai are pictured next to a bulletin board promoting self-discipline character emphasis for January. Through the Character Education Program, Meridian Public School elementary, middle and junior high school students are taught a different character trait each month. One character trait is studied and the lessons, morning announcements, bulletin boards, posters and other areas reflect this. The objective is to alter the school climate as a result of this model because students are surrounded by reminders to improve their character. Submitted photo.
