OBITUARIES FOR FRIDAY, FEB. 2, 2001

Retired barber
Services for Thomas Klein Jenkins will be held today at 2 p.m. at Oakland Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jenkins, 68, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a Deacon at Oakland Heights Baptist Church and a member of the VFW. He served in the Marines.
Survivors include his wife, Marianne Jenkins of Meridian, a son, Tommy Jenkins and his wife, Donna, of Meridian; a daughter, Rhonda Blythe and her husband, Kevin, of Marion; two brothers, Horace Jenkins and Bill Jenkins; two sisters, Ruth Harrison and Lila Faye Barone; four grandchildren, Eliza Gavin, Nicole Jenkins, Katie Jenkins and Allie Blythe.
The family requests memorials be made to Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Bob Cowan, Boyd Williamson, Ronnie Slay, Charlie Smith, Linwood Clayton, Ed Johnson, Joe May, Tommy Smith, Billy Humphrey, Greg Slay, Phillip Slay and Harold Catlett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the church.

MACON Services for Robert Card will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gerald Butler officiating. Burial will be in Mohegan Cemetery.
Mr. Card, 68, of Shuqualak, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.
Survivors include two daughters, Scharlotte Ann Matthews of Mobile, Ala., and Mary F. Rigdon of Wahalak; two sons, Cary L. "Brother" Hill of Birmingham, Ala., and Ray S. "Tooney" Hill of DeKalb; a brother, Oscar Junior Card of Riverdale, Ga.; a sister, Lula Bell Knapps of Minnesota; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellis Lee Card.
The family requests memorials be made to Soule Harbour Pentecostal Church.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Elizabeth Weir Clay will be held today at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service with the Rev. Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Clay, 83, of Long Beach, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Dunwoody, Ga.
Survivors include a daughter, Edna Reinike of Atlanta; a sister, Alice Lovorn of Philadelphia; two brothers, W.T. Weir of Wichita, Kan., and Laurel G. Weir of Philadelphia; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Clay.
LOUISE ANDERS
Retired from Anders Furniture Company
Services for Louise Anders will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Robert Horel and Sam Hull officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Anders, 84, of Meridian, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, in Meridian. She was retired from Anders Furniture Company and was a member of East End United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jimmie Anders Wells of Meridian; two sons, Billy Anders and his wife, Teresa, and Wayne Anders and his wife, Lynda, all of Meridian; six grandchildren, Cindy Colvin, David Anders, Jason Anders, Kevin Anders, Justin Anders and Jennifer Wells; five great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Ora Willis of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.R. "Bilbo" Anders and a son-in-law, Jim Wells.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, her great-grandsons and Frank Brewer.
The family requests memorials be made to The American Heart Association.
