OBITUARIES FOR TUESDAY, JAN. 30, 2001

E. ALAN GUSTIN
Former owner of Majestic Millworks
Services for E. Alan Gustin will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Gustin, 46, of Meridian, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at D.C.H. Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Gustin of Meridian; a daughter, Becky Clevenger and her husband, Robbie, of Loudon, Tenn.; a stepson, Charles Iseke of Meridian; his parents, Mavis and Herbert Gustin, of Meridian; a sister, Vi Stinnette and her husband, Charles, of Meridian; a nephew, Todd Stinnette of Gautier, a grandchild, Cody Clevenger of Loudon; a very special lifelong friend, Mike Robinson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Daniel Gustin.
Pallbearers will be Mike Robinson, Charles Iseke, Todd Stinnette, Robbie Clevenger, Nick Millich, Jeremy Millich, Luke Smith, Herbert Joyner and Chris Smith.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ELSIE MCGREW
QUITMAN Services for Elsie McGrew will be held today at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church with the Revs. John Edwards and Mike Powell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McGrew, 85, of Stonewall, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at the Lakeside Living Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Bunny Galistel of Meridian; a sister, M.L. Priester of Stonewall; a brother-in-law, Luther McGrew of Stonewall; five sisters-in-law, Nora Bell Owen of Jackson, Winnie Rolison and Bernice Rolison, both of Enterprise, Pauline Rolison of Stonewall and Lola Ruth Galyean of Meridian; two grandchildren, Steve Galistel and his wife, Donna, and Crystal Watkins and her husband, Wiley, all of Meridian; and two great-grandchildren, Alex Galistel and Alexis Galistel, both of Meridian.
Mrs. McGrew was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Carl "Bud" McGrew Jr.
DARRELL H. CLEARMAN
UNION Services for Darrell H. Clearman will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Dyer officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Clearman, 87, of Union, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Gatlin of Lake Wales, Fla.; a son, Danny Clearman of Union, a sister, Geraldine Alexander of Collinsville, and four grandchildren, Tiffany Gatlin of Lake Wales, Stephanie Clearman, Heather Clearman and Sarah Clearman, all of Union.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ardis Munn, Vonda Richardson and Audrey Castle and three brothers, G.W. Clearman, Glenn Clearman and Buster Clearman.
DORSEY L. OLIVER
UNION Services for Dorsey L. Oliver will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Giles and Jimmy McDill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Oliver, 73, of Little Rock, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Candace Oliver of Little Rock; two daughters, Laura Walker of Meridian and Sheila Miguez of Southaven; four sisters, Juanita Hattaway of Little Rock, Lena Butler of Decatur, Sadie Hall and Sue Baskin, both of Decatur; five brothers, Bobby Oliver, Hugh Oliver, Fred Oliver and Herbert Oliver, all of Little Rock and Phaban Lee Oliver of Meridian; four stepdaughters and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ABE MOORE
Retired farmer
PHILADELPHIA Services for Abe Moore will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with the Revs. Eddie Willis and LeRoy Yates officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moore, 100, of Union, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, in his home. He was born in the Collinsville Community. He served in the Navy during World War I and World War II. He first retired in 1935 and was called back to active duty twice. His final retirement was in 1945. While on duty he served aboard battleships, destroyers, cruisers, submarines and various other stations and ships including the USS Arizona and the USS W. Virginia. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve, V.F.W. and the American Legion.
Survivors include two daughters, Miriam Adamson of Hattiesburg and Merrill Willis of Oxford; three sons, John Moore of Canton, Robert Moore of House and Walter Moore of Sebring, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Norma Joyner Moore.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
MAUDE MAE DEARMAN
Homemaker
QUITMAN Graveside services for Maude Mae Dearman will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Energy Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Boles officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dearman, 90, of Quitman, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Gene Dearman and Virgil Dearman, both of Meridian; a daughter, Florene Shirley of Meridian; three brothers, Melvin Boles, Leo Boles and Mack Boles, all of Meridian; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Dearman and a son, Preston Dearman.
Visitation will be today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
ZULA WILLIS LANE
Retired school teacher
PHILADELPHIA Services for Zula Willis Lane will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. M. Glenn Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mrs. Lane, 104, of Philadelphia, died Sunday Jan. 28, 2001, at the Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lane.
Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
