Exhibit kicks off spring season at Casteel Gallery of Art

The mixed media works of Mississippi artist Charles Crossley will launch the spring exhibition season at Casteel Gallery of Art. The exhibit opens today at 1 in the gallery, located in the L.O. Todd Library on the Meridian Community College campus. Presented in observance of Black History Month, the art show will continue through Feb. 18.
Currently with the Studio of Art in Summit, Crossley instructs teachers in professional development workshops in Jackson and South Pike. He has also been an art consultant in McComb, Meridian and Hattiesburg.
His biography has appeared in "Who's Who Among Black Americans Education Communication Inc." He has won numerous art awards, including Artist of the Year, San Diego County.
Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, 1-4 p.m. For more information, e-mail to jmarshal@mcc.cc.ms.us
