OBITUARIES FOR FRIDAY, JAN. 26, 2001

Carpenter
QUITMAN Services for William J. Dearman will be held today at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Methodist Church with the Revs. Ray Wilkerson and Edgar Ivey officiating.
Mr. Dearman, 64, of Quitman, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, in his home. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Dearman of Quitman; two sons, Randall Dearman and Troy Dearman, both of Quitman; a daughter, Patricia Dearman of Quitman; a sister, Ruby Lee Fleming of Quitman; and a grandchild.
MARY JEAN MOORE
Services for Mary Jean Moore will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Tamola Church of God of Lauderdale with the Rev. Alee Hopson officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moore, 81, of Lauderdale, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include five daughters, Ruby Brown of Daleville, Emma Miller of Chicago, May Drummond of DeKalb, Charity Walters of Columbia and Annie Hopson of Lauderdale; three sons, Walter Moore Jr. of Kansas City, Mo., Tom Moore of Daleville and John Moore of Chicago; two sisters, Bell Moffitt and Nell Darden, both of Meridian; a brother, Cleveland Atkins of Meridian; 60 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
LUCILLE TYLER
Visitation for Lucille Tyler will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Enterprise Funeral Home. with the Rev. Eddie Hixon officiating.
Mrs. Lucille Tyler, 85, of Meridian, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two brothers, Billy Ray Durr and Willie Joe Durr, both of Los Angeles; and three sisters, Erma D. Monroe of Meridian, Josephine Walls of Chicago and Olivera Deer of Los Angeles.
ARLENA F. BUTLER
Homemaker
Services for Arlena F. Butler will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Union Kemper Springs Baptist Church in DeKalb with the Rev. Robert Coats officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Butler, 70, of DeKalb, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, in Meridian.
Survivors include four daughters, Willie Mae Clayton and her husband, Donald, of DeKalb, Assie Spencer and her husband, Leonard, Betty M. Butler and Martha Turner, all of East St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Willie Jones of Covington of Los Angeles and Johnny B. Jones of Meridian; three sisters, Mary L. Cook and her husband, Roosevelt, of Lauderdale, Mary Walker of Norfolk, Va. and Martha Pack of Boyd, Ala.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a child.
Visitation will be Friday from 12-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
