Firefighters battle blazes

County volunteer firefighters from three departments were able to hold damage to a mobile home on Highway 494 to "a minimum" Tuesday.
Collinsville Chief Clyde Walker said the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Chisolm at 11746 Highway 494 sustained slight damage when fire broke out under the trailer about 3:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, city firefighters say a barn at 16th Street and 33rd Avenue sustained heavy damage just after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Information on the causes of the fires was not available this morning.
