A tip from a concerned citizen led authorities Friday afternoon to what appears to be a burglary ring headquartered at a local trailer park.
Chief Deputy Mike Mitchell said investigators discovered about a dozen guns thought to be stolen at Valley Road Mobile Home Trailer Park. Subsequent investigation has led authorities to look in a nearby county for more stolen guns in connection with the Valley Road trailer park discovery, he said.
The guns ranging from handguns to rifles and shotguns were confiscated about 2:30 p.m.
Four suspects were taken into custody after the search. Two are likely to be placed on investigative hold, Mitchell said, and charges are pending.
Suspected stolen electronic equipment, such as stereos and TVs, also were confiscated.
Mitchell said investigators questioned suspects and witnesses Friday afternoon. Charges are expected to come sometime this weekend.
