Jennifer Leigh Reynolds and Robert Chad Lewis were united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at Florence First Baptist Church, with Dr. Dwight L. Smith officiating the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Reynolds of Florence and Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Lewis of Little Rock.
The bride is the granddaughter of Juanita Reynolds of Taylorsville and the late Leroy Reynolds and the late Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Graves of Brookhaven.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Carleen Graham of Little Rock and the late Alvis D. "Monkey" Graham and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Lewis Sr. of Meridian.
Music was provided by Janice Parker, pianist; Ashley Mills and Jamie Stewart, vocalists.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal gown of candlelight satin. Re-embroidered Alencon lace embellished with pearls and sequins fashioned the sleeveless halter bodice. From a band of beaded lace and soutache at the waistline fell the full A-line skirt, sweeping into a detachable chapel-length train.
Her veil of tiers of illusion was edged in soutache braid matching that on her bridal gown. She carried a bouquet of Virginia roses accented with stephonotis and English ivy.
Attending as maid of honor was Sarah E. Reynolds of Florence, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Paige E. Dickey of Natchez, Amy G. Jones of Clinton, Stephanie A. Knight of Brookhaven, Kimberly A. Shirley of Meridian, Brandy M. Taylor of Florence and Kristel Y. Walker of Madison. Honorary bridesmaid was Sonya D. Lewis.
The father of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Robert K. Brady of Meridian, M. Brooks Bryan of Philadelphia, Christopher S. Ezelle of Union, Christopher T. Graham of Oxford, A. Todd Reeves of Decatur, Joseph B. Rigdon of Union, Freddie P. Gentry of Hickory, Brandon L. Hillman of Conehatta and Brandel K. Russell of Collinsville.
Shelby R. Peavey and C. Luke Peavey of Brookhaven served as flower girl and ring bearer. Presiding at the guest register was Carly N. Price of Little Rock.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Edison Walthall Hotel in Jackson.
Following a honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, Grand Cayman Island and Jamaica, the couple resides in Decatur.
Glenda S. Gibson and Phillip L. Trotter were married Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at First Presbyterian Church in Meridian, with the Rev. Jimmy Garrard officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard A. "Allen" Gibson Sr. of Meridian, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cochran of Yazoo City and Mark Trotter of Simpsonville, S.C.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white bridal satin gown with two-inch Victorian stiff lace at the shoulders and six-inch Victorian soft flowing lace at the cuffs.
Matron of honor was Betty Joiner of Meridian. Bridesmaids were Stephanie McIllwain of Meridian, Tammy Sisson of Enterprise and Angie Gibson of Meridian. Flower girl was Hannah Rutledge of Meridian.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Donnie Trotter of Clinton, Chris Chandler of Jackson and Walter Davidson of Clinton. Parker Manley of Meridian served as ring bearer.
A reception was held following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in North Carolina, the couple resides in Jackson.
Okatibbee Lake was the setting for the Saturday, May 6, 2000, wedding of Felicia Ann Harrison and Tony Allan Wood Jr., both of Meridian. The Rev. Dr. Malcolm Lewis officiated at the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Randy and Debora Harrison and Tony and Marilyn Wood Sr., all of Meridian.
The bride is the granddaughter of Alfred and Helen Narvesen and the late Kenneth and loan Harrison, all of Meridian.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Ray and Velma Atkinson, Garcia and Willie Gibson and the late Ellie B. Wood, all of Meridian.
The bride wore a gown of matte satin with floral embroidery and petite crystal beading that covered the scallop edged bodice. Her fingertip-length veil of illusion cascaded from a headpiece of satin roses.
She carried a hand tied bouquet of fresh spring flowers including
irises, stargazer lilies, white lilies, gerber daisies, freesia and springeri fern.
The reception was held overlooking Okatibbee Lake following the ceremony.
The couple resides in Meridian.
