CROCKER, DEAN
Polly Kay Dean and Shannon Douglas Crocker, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at Northcrest Baptist Church, with the Rev. Malcom Lewis officiating.
Parents of the couple are Karen and Jeff Palmer, Charles and Lois Dean and Gayle and Johnny Crocker, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Wiggs of Montgomery, Ala., formerly of Meridian; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dean Sr., Sonny and Shirley Palmer and Mellie Palmer, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Joy Williams of Wisconsin and the late Charles Williams; Geraldine and Manuel Goforth and Sonny and Ella Mae Crocker, all of Philadelphia.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, mother and son, Seth Douglas Crocker.
She wore a formal gown of bridal white Italian satin enhanced with a bodice of Alencon lace, embellished with hand embroidery pearls and sequins. The sweetheart neckline was closed in the back with tiny buttons. The gown was enhanced with long sleeves that extended to a point at the wrists and a semi-cathedral-length train.
Deanna Marie Dean of Meridian attended her sister of maid of honor.
Other attendants were Vickie McGrew of Meridian and Heather Williams of Wisconsin.
Morgan Wynn of Millbrook, Ala., cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Jeff Palmer of Meridian, stepfather of the bride, was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Nathan Alley of Louisiana, Shawn Crocker of Meridian, brother of the bridegroom, and Josh Scoggins of Meridian.
Dalton Pannell of Coosada, Ala. and Seth Crocker of Meridian was ring bearer.
Rice bag attendant was Morgan Wynn.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Billie Wynn, JB Pannell and Regina Sanders.
ARENDER, CURTO
Laura Bess Curto and Gene Allen Arender Jr., both of Baton Rouge, La., were married Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle, with the Rev. Brian Kaskie officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. James D. Curto of Collinsville and Mr. and Mrs. Gene A. Arender of Pelahatchie.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Bardwell of Starkville; James C. Curto of Winter Park, Fla. and the late Irene Curto.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Thomas P. Cote of Jackson and the late Mr. Cote; Mrs. Hershel Arender of Polkville and the late Mr. Arender.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jimmie Scoggins, pipe organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a sleeveless A-line gown of diamond white satin. A three-tiered chapel-length veil and a bouquet of white roses, ranunculus and lisianthus enhanced her attire.
Maid of honor was Julie Curto of Collinsville. Other attendants were Amanda Henry and Rachelle White, both of Meridian, Stacey Ross of Baton Rouge and Emily Smith of Collinsville.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Bard Curto of Collinsville, Brent Fox of Cary, N.C., Ashton Haigler of Birmingham, Ala., Matt Martin of Houston, Texas, and Kris Patrick of Clinton.
Program attendant was Kimberly Cote.
A reception was held at the Old Capitol Inn following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Sonoma Valley and San Francisco, the couple resides in Baton Rouge.
