OBITUARIES FOR THURSDAY, DEC. 21, 2000

DR. REGINALD P. WHITE
Private practice psychiatrist
Services for Dr. Reginald P. White will be held today at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Riley officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Dr. White, 73, of Bailey, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at Riley Hospital. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine White of Bailey; his parents, David B. and Allie White of Meridian; a daughter, Rebecca Gray of Jackson; a son, David M. White of Meridian; four stepsons, Kenneth Brad Belvin and John David Belvin, both of Enterprise, Donavan Hughes and his wife, Wanda, of Bailey, and Troy Hughes of Houston, Texas; and three grandchildren, Brook, Brandon and Alli.
The family requests memorials be made to East Mississippi State Hospital, Dr. R.P. White Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 4128, Meridian, MS 39304.
Pallbearers will be Asa Haynes, Brian Burkeen, Leon Ashmore, Mike Cain, Charles Caperton, Barnie Eldridge, Tom Hayden and M.L. Waters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Chapman, Wade Crews, Miles Herrington, Charles P. Smith and Dr. Billy Wood.
GUELDA JONES
Retired sales clerk and buyer
Services for Guelda Jones will be held today at 1;30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Claude Flemming officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Ms. Jones, 92, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, in her home. She was a retired sales clerk and buyer for Marks Rothenburg, Loeb's and the Liberty Shop. Ms. Jones was a member of Highland Methodist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Calvin Jones of Meridian and Kelly Jones and his wife, Beth, of Madison; a niece, Gaile Culpepper and her husband, John, of Meridian; two nephews, Bill Jones of Madison and Ben Jones and his wife, Karen, of North Port, Ala.; two great-nieces, two great-nephews and a great-great-nephew.
Pallbearers will be John Culpepper, Lan Culpepper, Brad Henry, Ben Jones, Benjamin Jones and Rudy Jones.
Visitation will be today beginning at noon at the funeral home.
CHARLES WEATHERFORD
Retired machinist from Vicker Inc. in Jackson
PHILADELPHIA Services for Charles Weatherford will be held today at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel, with the Revs. G.H. Gordon and Charles Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Weatherford, 74, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jonnie Alexander Weatherford and a daughter, Sandy Weatherford, both of Jackson; two sisters, Bonnie Jones of Philadelphia and Regina Snow of Jackson; and a brother, Glen Weatherford of Brandon.
JAMES BRUCE TRAYLOR

Memorial services for James Bruce Traylor will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Paul LeBlanc officiating.
Mr. Traylor, 67, of Jakarta, Indonesia, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, in Jakarta. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1952 and was a member of the Meridian Wildcat Band, Down Beats Orchestra, Theta Kappa Omega Fraternity and attended Mississippi State University. Mr. Traylor served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Maudy Traylor of Jakarta; a son, James Bruce Traylor Jr. of Bull Shoal, Ark.; two daughters, Angela Adair Smith of Sanger, Texas, and Leigh Ann Kenney of Dallas; a sister, Effie Eurin Seay of Gulfport; a brother, the Rev. Talbert Traylor and his wife, Katie, of Laurel; a sister-in-law, Ella Dale Traylor of Long Beach; a brother-in-law, William Alfred Shepherd of Gulfport; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Effie Zora Traylor.
The family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity.

Services for the Rev. Willie Darby will be held Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. at Pearlie Grove Baptist Church in Quitman, with the Rev. Willie Young officiating. Burial will be in Archusa Memorial Gardens with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Rev. Darby, 80, of Quitman, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Darby of Quitman; a daughter, Andrea Manning of Boston, Mass.; a son, Fred Edwards of Cleveland, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Cynthia Thomas of Quitman, Dorothy Hinton of Chicago and Marguerite Young of Indianola; a stepson, Robert Goss of Cleveland; two sisters, Carrie Townsend of Beckley, W.Va., and Helen Young of Leverne, Ala.; and a brother, the Rev. J.C. Darby of Louisville, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services for James E. Marzette will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Quitman, with the Rev. Advial McKenzie officiating. Enterprise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Marzette, 74, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his mother, Fleeta Marzette of Meridian; two sons, Kenneth Moore of Gary, Ind., and Marcell Parker of Chicago; and a sister, Anita Pines of Chicago.
MARY ALICE SCARBROUGH SHOWS

Graveside services for Mary Alice Scarbrough Shows will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, with the Rev. Jason Gross officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shows, 84, of Inman, S.C., died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, in Inman. She was a member of Hayne Baptist Church and Lone Oak Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Shows of Inman; two sons, Carl Shows Jr. of Shreveport, La. and Michael Shows of Spartanburg, S.C. a sister, Martha Elmore of Satsuma, Ala.; two brothers, Lloyd Scarbrough and Lamar Scarbrough, both of Collinsville; two stepdaughters, Joyce Middleton and Oneita Mayfield; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Shows.
The family requests memorials be made to the Order of the Eastern Star Nursing Home.
